An Advice For Online Learning Process

Based on my previous article, all the children I interviewed yesterday expressed their difficulties more than the convenience, such as not having to meet at school to carry out learning activities. The difficulties they face are, on average, the same as the others. Children are easily bored if forced to sit in front of a laptop or cellphone and just pay attention to the screen. There is no interaction with friends or teachers that they can feel.

It is different from the learning that was carried out by schools before the COVID-19 pandemic. Students can interact with friends or teachers in class, doing ice breaking in the classroom might be done by the teachers to make the classroom atmosphere refreshed and students are ready to receive learning again.

In this online learning the teacher must also be equipped with knowledge and expertise in operating and utilizing the internet to its full potential. This is a challenge for teachers to make new innovations so that students don't get bored quickly and the learning process feels like in the classroom that can make students comfortable.

Zoom application is very helpful to interact without having to meet face to face. We can use zoom to increase speaking and listening skill. In my opinion, zoom can also be used as an ice breaking tool for students as it is done in class. The teacher can ask students to on camera, then make emoticon love by their arms like puzzle. Each other have to listen the instruction from the teacher for making emoticon love.

For me, this is very fun because the results of the solidarity made by the teacher and students can be uploaded to social media as entertainment. It may be a little difficult to arrange students in such a position, but it is not the result that is seen but the process that is enjoyed by all students. Not only this game, the teacher can provide other games such as riddles or quiz session for students. There is nothing wrong if the teacher gives rewards to the winners of these games such as not attending the presentation or getting additional scores.

In my opinion, the application used does not have to always use zoom or google classroom, there are online sites that teachers can use as a means of testing in subjects, for example kahoot or quizz. This application is very interesting because it looks like a game. Maybe online learning doesn't have to always use zoom, the teacher can take advantage of WhatsApp or YouTube to explain the material, but after the material is explained, the teacher must make sure the students follow the lesson even though there is no face-to-face zoom. For example, such as giving a summary assignment or questions at the end of the material to ensure how well students understand the material.

That's the advice I can give. Hope it helps and stay healthy always.

The Analyses of Zoom Usage Based on Students Experience

In 2020, community activities and daily activities in the world will be forced to stop temporarily. Likewise with offices, production or education. The COVID 19 pandemic makes it difficult for everyone to carry out all activities or daily activities. This respiratory disease can kill a person in a fairly short time. The situation is getting more precarious because a vaccine from this disease has not been found but the number of patients is increasing. Keeping your distance and washing your hands regularly and using a mask have become an obligation for everyone in the world.

The suggestion to maintain distance makes activities very disturbed considering that humans are social creatures that need interaction with other humans. Education is one of the systems affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In early March 2020, all schools were forced to close for the next few weeks. But unexpectedly, it turned out that the pandemic was still continuing, resulting in students having to take online distance learning. Various ways have been started by the Ministry of Education and Culture for all students, especially those in Indonesia, in order to keep getting a decent education and in accordance with the goals to be achieved at each level.

Educational applications are needed during a pandemic such as now. Examples of applications used by most students and teachers to fulfill teaching and learning activities are zoom, google classroom, edmodo, google forms, youtube, whatsapp group and others. In the use of social media or learning applications, of course, has a negative and positive impact on each of its users.

According to the speech of Sabila Aditya, a student of State Senior High School 1 Padalarang, the use of the zoom application makes internet quota run out quickly, and cellphones often get hot, the limitations of the tools used to study online are one of the problems for her, with unsupportive signals that make Sabila difficult in taking lessons online. There is also student of Junior High School 1 Padalarang, Randi Pratama, said that this online-based learning caused damage to his eyes. The minus of the eyes made him uncomfortable because almost every day he had to pay attention to explanations from the teacher through the zoom application, adding with tasks that required him to open a laptop and learning applications. Elementary school students, Rasya and Sifa have difficulty understanding the lesson. As a result, parents themselves must provide extra understanding in lessons for their children. It is undeniable that some parents who are not familiar with technology have difficulty operating this online learning application. For example zoom, google classroom and google document which are usually used for tests at every meeting or semester exam.

This zoom application that makes it easier for teachers and students to interact at a distance does have its benefits. Some of the benefits of using the zoom application are that students and teachers do not need to meet and can still maintain their respective health protocols. Zoom can connect people wherever they are without having to gather somewhere. But there are also negative impacts such as making the eyes tired easily, making quotas run out quickly, children having difficulty understanding lessons and boring.

This is an expression of anxiety during online learning delivered by students from elementary, junior high and high school. It is not easy to carry out all activities differently than usual, but let's together we prevent this disease from spreading and spreading even worse. Stay healthy and stay healthy.

The Interview of Using Zoom Aplication of Online Learning to Students

The COVID-19 pandemic hits the entire world in 2020 and it is a year full of history. One history that can be remembered is studying at home for almost a year (maybe it could be more). The learning process is carried out differently, students do not come to school to participate in learning. Online learning is carried out by students in almost all of Indonesia.

Online learning is carried out at each student's home through the zoom application, google classroom, google meeting and others. Zoom is an application that is widely used by teachers and students in providing material to replace meetings in classrooms such as schools before the pandemic. Free applications that students can install via smartphones and the easy way to use them make this application a choice as a means of learning during COVID-19.

I tried to interview some students about their experiences using this zoom application. The questions I ask them are how they feel during this online learning, whether it is comfortable or not, during the use of zoom whether there are problems or not and what they want from them during this online learning.
